7 months!

ha ha I love his leg in this pic!
My little Bosty boy, baby cudness, bookie shnookie dookie is 7 months old!!! ha ha ha think those nick names will embarrass him someday?! Well right now they make him smile, and laugh, and that's all that matters. I don't care what anyone else thinks. ha Andrew calls him Bosman, and almost everyday when he gets home from work they sing the Batman theme song together (revised edition of course) "Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na.....BOSMAN!!!" But more than anything we just call him Bos. :)

This little boy brings a light to my life I cannot describe. He's the smile to my day, the reason for my laugh, the reason for my walk, the reason for my (now fairly large) arm muscle, the purpose to my life, the cause of my dorkiness, the swell of tears in my eyes, the cheek to my kiss, the apple of my eye. I love him so so much!! Andrew would say the same thing. I love Andrew so much too of course, BUT this post is about little Bos, not him. lol

Not a whole lot has changed from last month, just a lot of cute pictures of course! So I'll quit blabbing in a min, and get to the good stuff. :) Quick update on stats: He has now eaten a few more veggies! I love how great he is to eat anything I put in front of him. I hope this always continues! I have had zucchini coming out of my earlobes thanks to our plentiful garden, so he's had a lot of that. As well as peas, beans, bananas, prunes, grapes, bread, sweet potato puffs, carrots, and his new favorite Watermelon!! (He sucks it out of his mesh bag) Or I've carefully let him suck on my piece, since it seems to be at every bbq we've been to! Problem is, he likes to take huge bites!

He's right on track with clothes for the most part, except he is in size 12 month pajamas! ha the ones with feet anyway! He's a tall boy (Andrew and I have no idea where that's coming from). Still in size 3 diapers, and his hair is filling in quite nicely now! lol Which I'm pretty sure is what is stopping complete strangers to complement me on my adorable little chunk, which has happened several times, and yes, I'm pretty sure it's due to these lovely locks! (let's be honest, they're not exactly locks yet, but it's a work in progress) :)

BEST thing about this age: Those closest to him will tell you Boston gives the best hugs!! He's been doing it for quite awhile, but now I feel like he really knows what he's doing. He wraps his arms around your neck, squeezes tight, and lays his head on your shoulder. ha it's so cute, and makes my day every time! One of my favorite parts of the day is when Bos and I are seeing Andrew off to work. Before Andrew hands Boston over to me he says, "family hug!" and Boston leans down to me while having one arm still on Andrew, and we all hug, and say family prayer. This moment seems absolutely perfect until Boston starts pulling my hair, and trying to suck on it... lol which leads to my next subject.

He loves to grab EVERYTHING!!! And let me add to that, he tried to taste EVERYTHING as well! Which has cause his germ-a-phobe mother to have a few heart attacks, but that's ok. live and learn...like how we're lucky he's alive after I caught him sucking on the walmart grocery cart handle while I was grabbing something real quick, so I LEARNED and bought one of those amazing covers! Ahh... genius! :) He loves riding in the cart too, so that's been fun!

And I know he wishes he could crawl, but so far his best attempt at that is reaching so far forward to get something, and face planting. He can sit solid as a rock though!!
Neglect the garden for a week and voila! a Zucchini the size of my son! ha

Nothing like a good old fashion scrub in the kitchen sink!! ha He loved it!! Put it this way, it was a SQUEALIN' good time! lol

Any chance I get to take a pic of his cute little chubbiness, better believe I'm gonna capitalize! Unless of course he stays chubby into his teen years, then I think I may start to refrain. ;)

Last but not least, the straight jacket, I mean, "swaddle blanket" lol has been such a life saver! Can't believe I didn't find this thing earlier!! I would re-swaddle him a million times! Now, he sleeps better, and stays warm, even if he still wriggles one arm out!

  1. I can't believe you still have time to maintain a garden. That's really cool you're feeding him veggies from it. He's adorable!

    1. ha well I can't say it's the most impressive garden, but it's been fun, because I've been able to grow veggies to make my own baby food! :)
