Races, sunny places, and smiling faces

We've had a pretty exciting weekend! Andrew has decided to do some kind of race each year to keep himself motivated and in shape! So he signed up for the bountiful half marathon this year (I was honestly relieved that he chose to do a half instead of a full like the previous few years; since a half is amazing enough as it is!) His brother Dan, cousin Cort, and his Mom, Dolores also ran it! (She's pretty amazing for choosing to run her first half in her fifties! Especially considering she woke up with a cold!)

We had a get-together the night before at our house, which consisted of lots of pasta so the boys could "carb up." Dan, Sierra, and Daphne actually spent the night, so they wouldn't have to drive so far early the next morning, so that was fun!

Once again Boston and Daphne were being super cute! It's so fun that they are noticing one another more and more, and starting to interact!

uh oh! ha ha Boston couldn't hold up his wiggly cousin!

The waiting crew at the finish line!

Andrew made great time as usual! Dan went back for Andrew after he crossed the finish line a few minutes earlier.
Then they all went back for Dolores!!

After we all spent the morning working up a sweat....hey, carrying Boston around is a work out these days...lol....we went over to Cort and Kristen's community pool to cool off and relax!

Andrew & Gabe vs. Dan & Cort

It was a great time, and a great weekend of fun! I love how races are a family thing on Andrew's side! They run together and support one another, and stay fit at the same time! I don't know if I'll ever join in with the running, but it's still fun to be a part of, and I wouldn't mind if Boston decided to join in and run with his Dad. :)
