Gender Reveal of Crandall Baby numero dos!

Crandall baby number two is...........since Boston announced the pregnancy we wanted him to announce the gender as well! We decided he would tell everyone with balloons, and can I just say it's not easy to get a pic of a walkin' little busy body and balloons?! Especially when you have a slow camera!!  Never the less, here are a few of the photos that we took on 3 different occasions to try and get a good shot! I love all the bloopers so I'm throwin' them in!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wind wasn't exactly helpful, and he makes a funny face whenever the sun is really bright, but at least we got a good pic of his cute church outfit!

Happy Mother's Day to me. :) It was hard to get Boston to smile.... he wasn't being very cooperative.

Attempt #2, just playing outside, but still couldn't get the best shot. The best ones came after the actual gender reveal party that we had tonight! He was so excited, and had such a good time at the party!

I just love this sweet little boy, and can't help but think how grown up he looks in these pics! He's going to be a great older brother!!

So... here's the story about how we actually found out! First of all, I'll be honest and say that I really wanted a girl. (sorry future little son that I love, but it's true) I didn't want a girl because I don't love little boys, I wanted a girl because I already have one little boy and hope to be able to raise at least one girl and one boy. But you know what's interesting?! You think you know what you want in this life. You think you REALLY know what's best, and what would really make you happy.... But then, when you find out Heavenly Father has another plan, you realize that it's absolutely perfect and its exactly what you need. Even if you don't realize right away that it's what you need, you eventually do, and it's a beautiful thing.

So we went to my appointment with my midwife where she promised she'd try and tell us what the baby was. But when she started the ultrasound I could tell she wasn't super confident in what she was seeing (and for the record I saw that it was a boy right away but didn't say anything) then she says.. "I think it's a girl" and kept trying to get a better view. I told her we were going to be telling my Dad for his birthday that night and she said, "umm.. I wouldn't do that yet... and I wouldn't paint the room yet." So basically she thought she had a good idea but wasn't really sure at all, which was super frustrating because I didn't want to get excited for even a minute thinking it was a girl if it wasn't. And we had two gender revealing parties coming up so we needed to know for SURE!!  As Andrew and I left the office neither of us really felt super excited and we both turned to each other and said it just didn't feel right...  So off we went to Fetal Photos in Salt Lake again, (that's what we ended up doing for Boston as well) and we they did a really good ultrasound and got some great pictures, and the tech said, "Well it's a good thing you came in because it is most definitely a little boy!!"

We both just got super excited! It immediately felt so right!! And it was like a light bulb went off in my head like, of course I want another boy!! They will only be 20 months apart, they will be best little buddies (hopefully) and they can play with all the same toys, and do everything together. Then if my next one is a girl, those two can beat up on each other instead of her, and they can go do all the sporty things with Andrew while we're cheerleaders. And if the next one is a boy, then I guess as Andrew puts it "It'll just be another addition to our very own Crandall football team." lol Let me just say I have no intentions on supplying anything close to a football team. :)

Anyways, I am soo excited for this little boy! I already love Boston soo much, and everything about his cute little boy personality, and how easy going he is, and if his little brother is anything like him then I am bound to love him just as much! Or even if he's completely different, lots of fun times are on the way! :) Financially it will be great as well, not having to buy all new clothes and stuff.

So the day we found out we went to my Dad's Birthday party that night and at the end we revealed to my family, and it was so fun because most of my aunts and uncles were there, as well as my grandparents. We just had Boston walk around the corner with the balloons! Everyone was super excited. My parents claim they knew it was a boy all along. lol

Then I had to wait a whole week to announce to anyone else because we planned to do a fun gender reveal party with Shannon and Dustin and Andrew's family since our babies will only be a few weeks apart. Shannon did most of the work! She was amazing! She did theme "What will it Bee??" So it was a bee theme, and we had a huge BBQ at the Layton park with all the Crandalls and Jasmers. Then for the reveal we each popped a black balloon with colored confetti in it! Dustin and Shannon are having a girl!!!! I am so excited for them!!!

Boston loved trying to chase the ducks around the park! lol And was soo excited about feeding them!

It was such a fun night! And I couldn't be more in love with my little baby boy on the way!!
18 week side view! Feeling great! Almost half way! woo hoo!
