I have said I am going to move to St. George someday probably 303 times, and I really think I might. I love the sun, and desperately need it to survive. The sun always seems to be shining it St. George. Problem solved. However since we don't live there quite yet, (Farmington is a close second) we like to travel there a few times a year!
What better reason than to celebrate Grandma Crandall's 90th BIRTHDAY!!
I first met Grandma Crandall in January of 2008, when Andrew took me there to meet his Dad who was visiting from Louisiana! (I guess he kinda liked me and thought things were getting pretty serious, so he should probably see what his Dad thought of me. :) We had a great time, and Grandma Crandall cooked us all kinds of yummy food, and spoiled us with treats. She is such a sweetheart! Andrew said it was after that trip that he knew he would marry me, so I guess i made a good impression. ;) Anywho, we were very excited to be apart of her big Birthday party! What an amazing lady!
We road-tripped it in the Escape(our SUV), or as Andrew always says to Bos, "another Adventure in the Escape!" We were nervous of how Boston would do on the long ride but to no surprise he was a champ! he loves the car, and Didn't even make a peep! It definitely helped that he had company in the backseat which doesn't happen too often for him. Uncle Michael and especially Aunt Natalie kept him entertained. :)
Andrew's Dad, Paul also lives in St. George and the boys always plan to do something fun with him while we're there. This time they went rapelling, and I heard it was quite the thrill! I'm joining next time, even if it means I have to strap Bos on my back and take him with me! I love these pics!
Going down Ozzy style with Dan! Crazies.
Normally these pics would make me pretty nervous, but I honestly don't think I trust Andrew's life with anyone more than I would Paul. He's very careful!! :)
While they went rapelling I visited my life long friend Marisa Hill, and her 2 cute girls!! Emmalee is 8 months old, and Boston was almost her size! ha I love visiting Maris. She is such a sweet girl, and always teaches me so much. More than she'll ever know. :)
Then there was the Birthday party! There was a nice dinner, and yummy dessert! My favorite part was she didn't want any candles to blow out (don't think I will either at 90! Too much work!) so when we sang happy birthday, she just started eating the cake while we sang. ha! And there was a beautiful tribute read about Grandma Crandall's life. One of the stories that I loved was about how she was engaged to another man before Grandpa Crandall, and then she saw Max and the Holy Ghost told her that he was the one, and she got un-engaged, and married Max Crandall. :) Thank goodness she listened, or a lot lives would be very different! And my initials may not be CC!
So glad I remembered to get this 4 generation picture!
Such a fun family trip! Boston was prety sick of the car by the end, but we had a blast. So long St. George... for now. :)
