We had fun celebrating our anniversary this year! We started the evening off with an Ultrasound of our little mini me! We weren't sure if we were going to be able to get an ultrasound this appointment, but my midwife (totally love her) was more than happy to say that one was "necessary" (so our insurance would cover it) and take us in. I was amazed at the growth of our little baby!! The first Ultrasound it really just looked like a blob (a cute blob) with a few nubs for limbs. But NOW, it's developed almost everything, and just has to grow into it's skin. It's 3x bigger than the last time we saw it, about the size of a peach.
It was sucking it's thumb and just chillin'! We could actually see it sucking on the thumb, crazy!! Then in the next shot it raised it's right arm and waved! (That's twice now, that it's waved) ha ha
Andrew says it's definitely a boy because it gave him a high five. I say it's a girl, because it was a pageant wave....lol I guess we'll just have to see at our NEXT appointment!! We're both so excited to find out.
It was amazing, how we could literally count each of it's five fingers! The midwife says it looks like a perfect baby! I'm excited to not have to call it an "it" here pretty soon! We finished the night off going to PF Chang's for dinner, we brought these pictures in with us to keep looking at them, and the manager gave us a free entre' and a huge dessert to share! We decided we may just start bringing the pics everywhere with us. lol. Then we stayed at a cute little bed and breakfast, and had a great time relaxing, and watching movies. I woke up to beautiful flowers from Andrew, and a great breakfast. Then we had to get back to reality and head to work.....stinks being an adult sometimes. Luckily didn't have to be in til 10am. :)

Hi Camille,
ReplyDeleteWe've never met but I found your blog through Kristen and Mike Hancock's blog. I also met Andrew in Guatemala last year, so I swear I'm not a stalker. I've enjoyed reading your posts. My husband and I have decided we are ready to start a family, but it's still a secret because no one will expect it of us. Also, we don't know how long it'll take, so we dont want everyone anticipating, we just want it to be a surprise. I really like what you wrote on the Crandall Baby post "I said a little prayer to Heavenly Father that if it's his will I would love to carry one of his children. But I know he knows when I'm ready, so if I wasn't pregnant, for him to guide me until he felt that I was ready." I am keeping your words in mind.
Just a couple of questions, who is your midwife? I met with Kristi Frances for a pre-conception consultation. What is the site for the cheap prego tests?
