I had lots of support during that time from others as well and was so appreciative because I had it for a few weeks, but Dallin really was my right hand man. Even when friends would call him to hang out I would tell him he could go, and he would say "Cami, don't think about me! What do YOU need?! I am here for you!" What teenager gives up a week of summer fun to bum around the house and take care of their sis?? Well Dallin did, and he never once made me feel the least bit guilty about it. He has also come over for several other sleepovers to either help me out or just hang out with us! He's probably spent a total of over 2 weeks with us this Summer. I told him that every summer from here on out we have to have him over for a few days just to have fun like we have. It's so cute watching him and Boston together! Yes he has been helping me, but even more than that he's a great friend. We have great talks and have fun watching movies and making each other laugh.
To me this time has been priceless because I got married and moved out when he was 9! Even though I visit frequently I don't get as much quality time with him as I'd like.... so this was great! When I took him and dropped him off at the end of the week that he spent with me I got a little teary eyed as I thanked him and told him how much I appreciate and love him. Then later that night he texted me: "Hey Cami, that was really fun this last week. Thank you guys so much. And I was glad to help, whatever help I gave. Tell Andrew thank you from me and give Boston a sqeeze! Love you guys!" I don't know why he was thanking me for anything, such a sweetheart... I tear up again writing this because I am so blessed to have such wonderful brothers. They're amazing and show me so much love, and can make me laugh in ways no one else ever will! :) Most recently Dallin stayed over and helped me go late night grocery shopping (since I've had a sprained pelvis) and we got a good few laughs as he helped me start up the electric scooter shopping cart. ha ha So not only did I have that to ride on but I had Dallin to hand me everything off the shelves. I don't think it could've been an easier shopping trip. lol I'm sure his favorite part was me letting him ride the scooter back into the store from the parking lot. ;)
Anyways, I'll end by sayin' Dallin, I sure love ya! I couldn't ask for a better littlest bro! You amaze me in so many ways. You're a spiritual giant and I'm excited to see all the awesome things you're going to do in your life! Thank you for being there for me, and for being such an awesome Uncle to Boston. You are a great example to him. You are so smart, and kind and loving! Keep it up bro!! :)
Here are a few fun pics!

Oh Cami! Thank You! I sure love ya a ton! I appreciate this. You, Andrew, and Boston are a big part of my life and I hope to always be there when you need me! I sure appreciate what you guys do for me and what you have done for me in the past. I appreciate the love I feel from you and Andrew and even little Boston very much. Thanks for letting me stay in your home, as it has a truly great spirit all throughout it. I feel of your support and remember being partially raised by you growing up! I loved it! I can only feel sorry for those who haven't had the chance to have an older sister to have fun with, learn from, and talk to. I cherish these moments and appreciate them as well. Thanks, Cam!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a mature and thoughtful younger brother you have. I don't know a single teenager that would take care of their sick sibling, much less a toddler for and entire week during the summer. What a great example for all of us.
