After 6 long, dedicated, hard working years Andrew finally graduated from Weber State with his Bachelor's degree!! I am soo proud of him. He amazes me. I can't reminisce about his time in school without remembering when I went with him. The second year we were married, I did a year of college, and got some generals in. Truth be told Andrew was the one that got me to do it. I'm so glad I did. Just the memories alone were worth every pretty penny. There was a bus stop about a mile away from our apartment in Farmington, where we could catch the bus (for free) and ride it up to Weber. haha wow... good times on the bus. Honestly you can't beat jumping on a warm bus in the middle of winter, not having to worry about the traffic, or slipping around driving in the snow. Not to mention you can just sit back and listen to music, finish last minute homework, or catch a wink or two. That and you're not wasting any gas!! We LOVED the bus. haha Andrew has ridden it A LOT more than me over the years. He called the bus people, "his people" lol he's going to make fun of me for mentioning that.
Anyways, we could often ride the bus together and just talk, plan out our week, quiz eachother on upcoming tests, or play some good ol' rock paper scissors. :) Also the short time I was attending WSU Andrew would go out of his way to come and meet me after my classes, then walk me to my next class. This meant a lot, because I never had the chance to go to any other school with Andrew, and never really got to see what that was like til then. There's nothing like coming out of class when the bell rings, searching a crowded hall of people, and seeing your smiling "crush" waiting for you. haha (I know I sound like a little school girl! But I totally was!) It's good for the heart. :) Then we would hold hands and hurry to our next class, even catch lunch together often before heading home and off to work. That was such a small window of our marriage, that I am sure will never happen again. I treasure those memories so much.

The Graduation day was a lot of fun....the graduation part however...not so much.....

| we could see Andrew from our seats, but they stood most of the time... Which blocked our view, and we almost missed Andrew walking all together. |
Let's just say it takes a village to get a Boston through Graduation day...a village of Grandpas anyway...
Grandpa Hawkins held him most of the ceremony, and played in the halls with him. They found a fun "toy" that kept Boston distracted for quite awhile.... The box that all the programs were in. haha
At the after party, Grandpa Jasmer kept Boston company and kept an eye on him while his parents were busy socializing.
And while we cleaned up, and ended the night Grandpa Crandall kept Boston entertained by helping him hit all the balloons! (his favorite thing currently)
I'm so grateful for all of Boston's Grandpas. He's a lucky boy!
Daniel graduated the same day!
So Sierra and I joined to forces to throw them an after party! We thought it would be fun to name theme all the foods around the graduation, after I said I was bringing "better than graduation cake." Natalie helped us think of lots of the names too, it was fun!
Andrew and I are very grateful to have so much supportive family. We definitely owe a lot to them for helping us get where we are today!
They all give so much great advice, love and support. We love all of them!
But most of all, I sure love a man in a Cap n' Gown!
****Side note- we celebrated the next evening. Paul was staying with us, and I had planned with him prior that I wanted to do a surprise for Andrew! He agreed that he would help out (and frankly seemed very excited to be apart of the surprise.lol) I blindfolded Andrew, and put him in the car. I eluded that he'd better be really hungry cause we were going somewhere special... cause I didn't want his mind even thinking about where we MIGHT be going!! See Andrew's always joking about how we never do things we used to since we had Boston, which is partially true. We still have fun, but it's different kinds of fun than before. For instance we used to go to Jazz games pretty often, about 5 a season or so, and it didn't seem likely we'd be able to keep that up, with having Boston now, and bedtimes... WRONG!! I pulled up to the ESA and had Andrew take his blind fold off. He was soo excited!!! His only regret was, "man Cami, I wish I would have grabbed my jersey!" to which I replied, "Both of our Jerseys are in the back seat!!" :) :)
Earlier that day I had purchased some tickets from a guy on KSL that were a "good deal" (almost got eaten alive by his 5ft tall Great Dane that greeted me at the door) but when we got to the game we kept going up, and up, and then climbed some more stairs, and just when I thought we couldn't get any higher, as in literally there was the back row.... there were some folding chairs behind that back row, and those were our seats!! ha ha ha we both just started laughing...it's moments like this that make for great memories..... What made it even funnier was there was practically no one sitting up this high, BUT there were people in OUR seats! lol WOW.... so we just sat on some empty row a couple down. I invited Jeff and Katrina to join us, and when they got there, the first thing Katrina asked me is if her nose was bleeding. lol good times!
No. Really. It was a great time! Because at half time, we got yummy food, and scrounged some new, unused, amazing seats on about 15th row!! That would have been about 4x the money I spent. :)

I love the food titling idea, how fun. Congrats to Andrew!
