Have you ever seen anyone so in love with rice cereal? Maybe you're wondering if he really does love it since there's so much on his face, instead of in his mouth. Well that's only because after every single bite he absolutely HAS to lick his fingers to savor the goodness. Thus resulting in a messy face! but what fun would it be if it didn't get all over anyways?! (That's what I have to tell myself everyday) So I have been feeding him about 1/2 a cup every night right before bedtime. He was definitely ready for it, because even with the cereal he wakes up at 5am hungry!. And I'm still feeding him at 10pm before I go to bed!
Also was finally able to do his first mohawk! Ok, he did have one just after birth but all that hair fell out, so this is his official first mohawk with his new hair. :) He's quite the little stud!
Sleeping patterns: Goes to bed between 7:30pm and 8 every night, wakes up at 2 or 3 to talk to himself for a bit, (this has been driving me a little crazy) then wakes up around 5am to eat and will usually go back to sleep til about 8-830. Oh and he's in size 3 diapers! Note to self: When they start leaking out of their diapers, and ruining outfits...it means they're ready for the next size! Ugh, I put up with that for way longer than necessary.
Another was his first 4th of July!! To me, this is almost as big as his first Christmas will be. I LOVE the 4th of July!! My second favorite holiday! And this year it was a great one! I planned it months and months in advance. But I will post about that later. Boston loved the fireworks, and the sun, and just being with family!
He also started teething!!! Yay!!.....Not. As my SIL Sierra texted me (her baby going through the same thing) "Are we sure teeth are really necessary?! Poor babies, but poor Mommies too!" Yeah it's been rough. It made Boston a completely different little boy for awhile. I'm just glad to know the reason, and know that it won't be permanent.
We've had lots of family time this last month because Andrew actually started taking a day off during the week!! Before, the only day he took off was Sunday, not because that's all he was allowed, but because that's what he does for his family. Love. Him. to Pieces! :) It's been nice having a day to go and do fun things.
Fun at the new City Creek center

<<Boston: Hey...is that my name on that window??
Watching the awesome fountains at the new Station Park!
This past month Boston has taught me a lot. (as he always does) Main thing being, that even though I love having a plan...things don't always go as "planned" and that I need to be able to "roll with the punches", or blowouts (in the middle of visiting teaching), crying spells, times he doesn't take a full feeding, waking up in the middle of the night, not leaving on time, missing appointments, running late... As much as I try to avoid these things they happen, and it's my life now, and stressing out about it doesn't make it easier to handle. Andrew has taught me to laugh at myself and not be so serious. I'm so grateful for a husband who can pull the silly out in me, and get me out of my moods. Boston helps me too. He's my sweet silly boy! :)
