Happy Easter!! This Easter was definitely my favorite Easter of my life so far!! Easter is already such a great day, celebrating the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. This year we also got to celebrate Boston's blessing into this wonderful church! It was such a wonderful day, with BEAUTIFUL weather too, which was surprising considering we had a few inches of snow 2 days before! It was a warm 70+ degrees outside! Perfect for some fun pictures afterward, and a little BBQ.
I had hoped that Boston would nap well in the morning before church, eat right before, and then fall asleep, and I had it all planned out as I always do. But Boston seems to always have another idea. Just like he had his own idea of when he would come into this world. :) He must've sensed the excitement in the air, cause he couldn't really nap at all that morning, and he would not fall asleep before church. When we drove up I quietly got out of the car so I wouldn't wake him up cause he usually zonks out in the car, but when I went to get him he was wide awake! ha cute boy! He was in a good mood though so it was fine luckily! He actually seemed to really be enjoying hearing the organ and all the singing! It was his first day to church!!
Andrew gave Boston a pep talk all week, letting him know he needed to be a good boy during the blessing and not cry. lol sure enough he did whimper a little bit, but I'm pretty sure only Andrew and I noticed. ha Andrew and I joked that it would be funny if he got nervous and announced Boston's name incorrectly. Luckily nothing like that happened. In fact just the opposite. :) It was a beautiful blessing, Andrew did a great job, and was in tune with the spirit.
As soon as the blessing started I got emotional for some reason. My first child's baby blessing!! I'd dreamt about this day for so long!
Boston was blessed with: -A strong relationship with Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ - to have a desire to learn and choose the right -to be a good follower and when the time comes, a good leader
-strength against future temptations, -and a good relationship with his parents, especially his Mother :)
We have lots of family and I'm so glad so many of them were able to make it!! Boston is a lucky little boy to have so much great family close by!
