Well, this last month hasn't been all that different, mostly just lots of smiles, and occassional laughing going on around here. :) Boston is VERY smiley, especially around Andrew and I. And the most fun thing has been figuring out what will make Boston laugh. It's never the same thing twice, which makes it tricky, but his laugh is so cute, it's worth sounding and looking like a crazy person to make it happen. ha He's also been talking a lot more! One Sunday in fact, during the opening Hymn at church he was basically singing! It was so cute I had Andrew get his phone out to make a video. ha looks like he loves to sing just as much as I do. :) I can't get that video to upload, darn. :(
Little Bos is still growin like a champ, and just hit 17 pounds! He's in the 86th percentile for weight, and 78th in height! He's continually putting my muscles to the test, luckily I've been enjoying a lot more gym time lately, so I feel like I'm getting stronger.
His 4 month appointment went well. The doc said he is growing amazingly, and my milk must be pure cream. ha But he did say Boston could use a little bit more tummy time to strengthen his neck, (which is NOT his favorite thing) but most of the time tummy time just ends up looking a lot like this.... ha oh well, it's a work in progress.
He is such a fun little buddy to have around, he gets so excited and just starts to squeal sometimes. I really am so grateful for him in my life. Andrew is kept busy with work all day, and then often times school in the evenings, and church callings on the weekends, so Boston and I are best friends, and enjoy whenever Andrew can join us! We go on lots of walks, and LOVE swinging on our backyard swing together. It'll be nice when Andrew graduates this FALL!!! :) Sooo excited for him. He works so hard for our little family and basically never complains. We definitely couldn't do it without him. We're a great team. :)
One thing that's nice is Boston is pretty much content doing whatever I'm doing, he will tag a long on any errands without complaint, or just hang out on the bed if I need to get things done. He isn't rolling or scooting yet, just lots of flapping and kicking. lol I know it will be really exciting when he moves around more, but I have to say I'm ok with his being content on not moving yet. That's definitely not doing much for his little pop belly, but that's ok too. :)
Now that he's hit 4 months, I had to put a bunch of clothes away that he has grown out of, which was kind of sad. I keep telling him he better hope for a little brother, because most of these clothes he wore for .5 seconds, literally... Since summer is officially here and there is zero chance of him every wearing these now, I boxed up all these little hats/beanies people had given him. All of them unworn. The only hat he ever had on was the one they put on him at the hospital right after his birth to keep him warm. Other than that one, I have never been much of a hat person, and I don't like to cover up his hair (or the lack thereof in some spots) But I couldn't let all of these hats go to waste! So before I packed them up, we did a little fashion show. :) ha ha
Some hats were never worn because they were just too small... Kind of a problem. lol
Some were too big, but may fit this summer. So we'll keep them around.
Some were hand made, with love, and good intentions, like the one above from Uncle Dallin. But just never fit quite right. Like the one below from Aunt LaRaye, that was better used as a hand mitten, that had to be tasted several times.
And for some, it was just never the right season. ha ha I love his faces! He started giving me the "Mom if you put one more hat on me I'm gonna lose it" face right about now.
And this beanie, I am going to miss very much. I had it special made for him, months and months before he was even born. Cute little boy! :)
Ok, so at this age it was more for me to socialize with some of the other moms in my neighborhood, but that's ok. I really am loving getting to know all of my neighbors better lately! It's so fun, and they're all so great, and have the cutest kids!! Boston will have lots of friends, like little cute little Jack, in the next pic! It helps that I get a long really well with his Mom Megan too. :)
Keri and her 2 adorable Boys!! ^^
<<Our sweet neighbor Lauren Oviatt and cute little Blair.
<<Danielle and her little "mini me" Sienna. :)
It was quite a workout too! I had forgotten how many hills were at the Hogle Zoo! And it just so happened we went on a day that a few other schools were coming on a field trip to see the new Polar Bear exhibit.... yay for Polar Bears, not so much for the ginormous crowds everywhere... But we had a really good time!
And last but definitely not least, we have had lots of fun with the Crandalls lately. Grandma Jasmer brought 2 little Guatemalan outfits back from her trip, for the babies, and it was fun to get a pic with them!
And little Daphne had her baby blessing! It was a fun event! Poor thing had probably had enough attention by the time we tried to take the next pics. ha And Boston is never quite sure what to think when he hears another baby crying.
It was fun, and actually very odd getting a chance to feed her, ha I'm not used to feeding anyone but Boston. I wasn't very successful, Sierra had to take over pretty quick. lol She was so cute in her little dress! It's fun being an aunt, and even more fun being a Mom! :)
